Janice Leonard has been painting sumptuous landscapes for as long as I can remember. Everyone loves learning that  her  landscape works began as records of her childhood home in Paradise Nova Scotia.  ( I kid you not ).  Her titles no longer reflect her origins but the images do. I’ve always been a fan.

Mixed Media  ( acrylic and oil ) paintings by Udo Noger at Walker Contemporary.  I love the first image.

Jen Zimmer’s Portrait Series# 3 just cracks me up. I love it. See this series in it’s entirety, and her other portrait works at Jen Zimmer Photography.

Darlene Shiels. My vanity post. I was going through photo files from a few years back and lingered on this series, Spots. Thought I would share a few with you. One of these is not like the others but it was a favorite from the time. Never could figure why the colors were on the sheep’s face….

I returned to  Page and Strange Gallery and was blown over by the collection of  Gerry Fergusons’ enamel paintings. Gerry’s painting was featured as Drooel’s first post in honour of his influence my community. Today’s post represents bodies of works that totally surprised and moved me. As a painter Gerry became a free man.
